The Society of Biblical Literature panel on Paul continues: "How Faith effects the Incorporation of the Gentile"
Hayes: "...I am inclined to agree that Paul's offer of cosmic rule for gentiles of faith has the ring of a marketing ploy. This is not to say that Paul does not sincerely believe that faith - for both gentile and Jews - bestows Christ's pneuma...It is to say, however, that for Paul, the kingdom of God was at hand but would not be realized until the gentiles recognized the god of Israel."
